Gold Medal, Silver Medal, Bronze Medal, whatever, won for Britain???

Great for the Winner, their families and their various clubs where they practice their individual skills, but is it really any interest to most people?

If it's not of interest to most people then why is approximately 1/3rd of the world's population watching it?

Indeed.

And I find it hard to believe that "one third of the population are watching" simply because I cannot possibly see how such a figure can be calculated.

Furthermore, even if one third are watching, the last time I bothered to do such a calculation, Lucy two thirds [who are not watching] met the definition of "most".
