Why Kate Moss?
Surely there are other more worthy people to create a solid gold statue of rather than her?
I can't think of any one off hand but if you had the chance to choose who would you have suiggested.
For me certainly not this, and particularly not in that pose. Sorry if that sounds prudish, I don't mean to be but the artist could have done a whole lot better.

it hasn't been done because she's 'worthy' - this is not for the vacant plinth in Trqafalgar Square or anything, it's because the sculptor thought she'd made an interesting subject to sit alongside ideals of celebrity from antiquity.

Not too sure why the weird pose, though I think he's depicted her that way before. Maybe she can actually contort herself like that. Maybe he's saying fame is twisted.

I saw this on the news this morning, and she was described as a "modern day Aphrodite".....I mean....what?

I always think she looks mucky, not kinky mucky, but dirty mucky, like she needs a ruddy good wash.

It still doesn't make for good art but what does these says and the 'modern day Aphrodite' bit is over the top. There are many other women who are far better looking than Kate Moss.
Still I wonder who fronted up the gold for it or is he that wealthy.
The last part of this report was even more stunning. �200000 ffor a head made from frozen blood.
I don't get it any more. What is art and what isn't is beyond me.

I think it would have been cheaper for the artist to sculpture two golden spheres as a representation of Tony Blair.
