Organ donation.....

It seems that a panel of "experts" have come to the conclusion that "Presumed donation" would not result in more organs becomming available for transplant. The organ Donorphiles have long been screaming their heads of about this, it seems the experts don't agree. Is there a better alternative to the current system? Any bright ideas? I'm personally against presumed donation but I wonder if there is any alternative at all to the current system.

I just think presumed consent is wrong in any situation.

Why should we have to fill in forms not to take part in anything?

Some people don't like filling in forms or will forget to fill in forms, so their organs will be taken, which to me is wrong.

What about people with learning difficulties who can't express their own thoughts very well or haven't many reasoning powers? Will parents have the right to choose that their children are opted out?

Most doctors are now saying that it goes against their principals too.


There are so many reasons why I think this is fundamentally wrong.

i agree, in certain circumstances it would have to be null and void but for the vast majority of "ordinary" people i think it a good idea, but we all have our own views dont we, ive carried a donar card and been on the register for many many years and have told my family my wishes. should anything ever happen to me id like to think that some other generous family had helped me out
