I hope so, I love Winter & a snowy Christmas'd be ace!
We'll probably get the traditionally exciting half an inch of snow that stops by 10am and melts by lunchtime!
Last year it snowed almost every day from late November to February...we had over a foot of the stuff on the ground on Christmas Day.  My husband grew up in Georgia, so when he first moved up here to Michigan, he was quite excited to see his first significant snowfall.  After a few weeks of shovelling the stuff, he said he'd seen enough to last him a lifetime.  :)
If ur in Britain the guys who predicted the floods are now predicting Britain to have a very cold winter this year...starting with a cold snap next week!!! It will be drier than usual and there will be snow ...bookies have dropped the odds on their snow falling on the roof of the houses of parliament traditional bet in anticiptaiton of these guys getting it right again... So dig out ur parafin heaters and get down to the hardware store and fill up....
Oh - it all sounds SO cosy!!!  I LOVE Autumn and Winter they are my favourite seasons by far!!!!
well its gonna snow SOMEWHERE on Christmas Day rofl!!!
well its going to snow on my house xmas eve.im buying a snow machine for 70 quid.i cant wait to see the neighbours faces.let it snow let it snow let it snow!!

Do you believe them bluedolphin?

I've asked a similar question on animals & nature about whether it's a conspiracy to get us out spending on winter goods, foreign holidays etc.

Vinny are you serious? That's a fab idea, I wish I lived in your street!
hi saffstar, yep seen it on the net ,get your self one,in fact lets all get one.i got the idea from watching the metro center series on tv about shopping arcades, and these guys were on the roof spraying snow over santa as he arrived at the store.xmas i love it.
It would be fabulous to have snow on xmas, but I doubt it will happen here in California!!!  I do miss it though.

Zgma ...i remember back in the 70s there was a producer in hollywood/tv called Spelling and he trucked snow in on xmas eve at night so that his chilren could wake up to a white xmas on xmas morning....!!!!

I love autumn & winter, especially the snow! Snow hides all the impurities & looks beautiful covering trees & plants, etc. I can't think of anything more cosy than sitting next our roaring log/coal fire when it's snowing outside. Mind you I love wrapping up warm & going out in it too - especailly having snowball fights with the Grandkids - yes I know I'm 57, but hey, who cares!

Yeah, snows great but I hate all that slushy stuff afterwards..ugh!! Somehow Christmas isn't right without snow. Memories...!!

 < /P>

Ah yes - that awful slushy stuff - that's the downside of snow! Everywhere looks so dirty during the thaw!
I think we DESERVE snow! We (in UK) haven't had any really good, proper snow for years and years. I live on an island and I am looking forward to being cut off and not having to go to work! YAY!
I hope it snows. I'm from Australia and I'm used to it being about 40 degrees over xmas. This is my first winter in the UK - bring it on!!
Is anyone forgetting that it's still October? Stop talking about Christmas! Bah humbug!
georgit79 only 9 weeks to go , not that long .

Depends where you are.

I'd bet my next months wages that it will snow in Greenland on Christmas day.
