My husband grew up in Georgia, so when he first moved up here to Michigan, he was quite excited to see his first significant snowfall. After a few weeks of shovelling the stuff, he said he'd seen enough to last him a lifetime. :)
If ur in Britain the guys who predicted the floods are now predicting Britain to have a very cold winter this year...starting with a cold snap next week!!! It will be drier than usual and there will be snow ...bookies have dropped the odds on their snow falling on the roof of the houses of parliament traditional bet in anticiptaiton of these guys getting it right again... So dig out ur parafin heaters and get down to the hardware store and fill up....
I love autumn & winter, especially the snow! Snow hides all the impurities & looks beautiful covering trees & plants, etc. I can't think of anything more cosy than sitting next our roaring log/coal fire when it's snowing outside. Mind you I love wrapping up warm & going out in it too - especailly having snowball fights with the Grandkids - yes I know I'm 57, but hey, who cares!
