Ban on travelling to Pakistan

Measures should now be introduced to prevent all Muslims from travelling freely between Britain and the Pakistan/Afghanistan areas.

Except of course in very special circumstances, and even then they should be subjected to the most stringent of security checks.

It will cause inconveniences to many innocent Muslims, but tough measures in tough times, should be the order of the day.

I can't recall any calls for Roman Catholics to be banned from travelling between Ireland or Ulster and Great Britain when Sinn Fein/IRA were at their worst so what is the difference now?

The problem is these home grown terrorists take a circuitous route and we have no control of more friendly countries.

The IRA weren't terrorising in the name of their god.

Roman Catholics are worldwide, their head is in Vatican City, Rome and many countries are catholics.

The IRA weren't acting on behalf of them, nor representing them in any way.

It was the Irish Republican Army, not the Roman Catholic Army.

Very true ethel, however there was a huge amount of funding given to the IRA and other Republican groups which was hidden being Catholic charities and collections etc.
however that being said I really do think it is unwise and Dangerous in the extreme to limit the free movement of British citizens to anywhere. It's a slippery slope to more and mroe control over people's freedoms and rights, and is there a question in there anotheroldgit, or just another one of your opinion spouting sessions?

Sinn Fein/IRA targeted British folk, British organizations and concentrated on murdering Protestants. They had the support of a minority of Irish Republicans and Roman Catholics. That support did not result in a demand for the restriction of Roman Catholics did it?
