Are the governemnt f***ing idiots for mindlessly continuing with their plan to slap 2p on a litre next month? Just what a beleaguered, recession spiralling economy needs isnt it.
I dont think they could find their 4rses in the dark with a torch and both hands.

As retail price inflation has now risen to over 3% this week and the price of oil going up because of our beleagured pound that 2p increase will turn out to be 5p.

Dump a few 5 a day co ordinators and we dont need the tax.

we pay enough tax for our motor vehicles...

what i still dont understand is why diesel is more expensive than unleaded over here. in the rest of europe it is cheaper. (or so i am told)

if the government don't apply the 2p a litre fuel tax rise, they will have to raise the revenue some other way.

where would you prefer the tax increase to be applied?

Not that old, tired chestnut again.

As has been said, scrap the 5-a-day office, stop bailing out the banks with honest peoples hard earned cash, tax all the asylum seekers, become more efficient, etc etc et al
The rest of the world manages somehow doesnt it.
