An article on BBC news about the CPRE, the South Downs, etc, which just ended rather curiously........ "attracting ethnic minorities into the countryside....."

WHY?

They have the same facilities as the rest of us and greater intelligence. Can they not make their own decisions as to whether or not to visit Ditchling? Or should we subsidise transport with kitchen knives thrown in?

I think you will find that almost every organization in the UK is charged with trying to increase the numbers of ethnic minorities in its ranks.

I bet every "bid" that goes into the lottery fund will include a section on making whatever they are bidding for better for ethnic minorities.

I am in the National Trust and they are trying to appeal more to ethnic minorities (I guess they felt they were too "white").

Every magazine I get from the National Trust nowadays has a couple of token "ethnic" pictures.

A black family walking round a castle, or Asian children playing at an NT open day, that sort of thing.

Some groups dont get funding unless they can prove they are doing more to appeal to ethnic groups.

Many organizations nowadays have get a tick the "ethnic" box, even the people in countryside.

Gormless - I might just have an idea regarding why people from ethnic minorities ate loathe to move our from the comfort of inner cities, to the countryside...

At a guess, I would say that about 95% of 'old Britons' are decent, friendly folk who welcome new people I'm to their communities. But unforunately, the other 5% are absolute filth.

The problem is the scum who do NOT represent descent folk have the loudest voices. I've always assumed that eventually they would die off, but unfortunately they seem to be successful breeders...

Possibly because having sex doesn't require any skills (such as reading, spelling or comprehension).

A few years ago they were putting on free buses to take 'the ethnic minorities' into the Peak National Park, because it was assumed that they were somehow missing out.

It's about time that they put on free buses to take us to various Mosques around the country so we can see for ourselves what takes place.
