A trial using the polygraph test is to be conducted on sex offenders as part of their probation conditions after completing a sentence. Its been tried in the UK. It hasn't stopped one particular offender fleeing to Tenerife and carrying on as normal.

Even after reading the link I'm not sure that I fully understand what purpose they will serve. They aren't 100% accurate anyway.

Definitely donj't think they should be considered the most important factor.
