I hope I never contract" Parkinsons disease", i.e. shooting your mouth of on a subject your intelect falls miles short of the understanding of normal people, wealth and fame usually destroys empathy with those of us who share respect and sympathy for those who suffer in public or in private, Parkinson is despicable and in one breath has aligned himself with the equally despicable Brand and Ross, may they all rot in hell together, heaven for any of them? not a chance in hell!!
It's weird. I interpreted what he said as Jade was a victim, and was minpulated by, of the media. As in she was first called horrible names, then she was liked, then she was a racist and a bully, then she was their darling. I didn't read it as him attacking her, but him attacking the media circus.
Maybe I've just got used to expecting people in the media to have a go at Jade, so I just ignored those bits.
(PS I'm not a fan of Parkinson either!)

Jade Goddy was a thoroughly unpleasant person when she was alive. I'm not going to change my opinion of her because she's died.
She was a gobby, uneducated chav whose fame says more about modern British society than it does about any perceived talent she had.
The woman couldn't even die with dignity. It all had to be played out in full public glare. So it is a bit rich for people to call for the media to leave her family in peace now that she has died. She brought that publicity into their lives for her own ends and they now have to live with that legacy.

prudentia i hope you dont develop parkinsons disease and i so not think it is something to be slurred at or bandied about. Symptoms
* Shaking (muscle tremor). It often starts in the hand with circular movements in the thumb and forefinger. It can affect your arms, legs, and sometimes your head and j. * Stiffness (rigidity). This makes your limbs feel difficult to move.
* Slowness. Slow movement or an inability to move may start with a hesitant step, followed by a shuffle without swinging the arms.
As different muscles become affected, symptoms that can develop include:
* problems with posture and balance - people with Parkinson's disease may fall backwards and have difficulty turning or getting out of a chair
* speech changes - speech may become soft or unvaried
* loss of facial expression - less smiling and frowning, slow blinking
* small handwriting
* problems with swallowing
Other symptoms that can develop are not related to movement. These can include:
* depression - around half of people with Parkinson's disease develop mild to moderate depression
* bowel and bladder problems - constipation is common and there may be a frequent need to urinate
* impotence
* sleep problems
* tiredness
not a joking matter

as a reasonably educated person, who has seen many sides of life, I kind of agree with many of you but for different reasons. I am also a parent of two children, if i had a tool such as the media to help me in my hour of need to ensure that my children had a monetary legacy after i died, then I cant say I wouldn't do it...
I hate reality shows simply because they are crap in my opinion but I also hate the media in a lot of ways as they can and do manipulate things depending on what kind of headline they need to sell their papers or mags that day..
I work with a woman who constantly droned on about the OK magazine coverage and "Why the hell should we buy it,,who was she anyway but a wee chav, she had no talent..etc etc" until I finally lost the plot and said that no one was forcing her to go buy the bloody mag..it was about personal choice...
I think the main thing is that Jade used what was on offer to her to ensure her kids were financially comfortable in the future, and yes, i know many people die from Cancer,,,many a soul from my family have become victims, however, she did bring the subject out into the open in such a frank manner that the number of young and not so young woman seeking smear tests has rocketed...
Whats wrong with that..I wish everyone would just let the poor soul rest in peace and accept that the media done what the media knows best and that is to use and manipulate the present situation to their gain....
And Jade done the same..
so there....

Absolutely agree with Parki (lets not read that the wrong way lol) Its what most people are thinking. The funeral was ridiculous half them people hated her guts a few years back. I cannot believe either that one person has made people awaren of cervical cancer. And role model my god I hope if I have children they dont turn out as foul mouthed as she was. But I do still feel for anyone who has lost someone close through cancer. So if Jade is praised for always speaking her mind let Parkie be praised too.
