Having seen young women battened by cops on horses at the poll tax riot this does not surprise me

I saw a longer version on the news earlier where , rather than being 'pelted with bottles' as they said at the time , 1 bottle was thrown to the anger of the protesters .
Will the officer be charged do you think ??

1-He fell down the stairs.
or
2-He was like that when he came in.
Another thing with their cameras that can pick you up speeding or littering from space, ill bet you that when it comes to identifying this policeman they'll say the cameras picture was to fuzzy to know who it was or the cameras were off on that street on that particular day.

What a load of tosh!
Do you have the right to shove someone because they ignore you? No you don't and neither do they. Is is illegal to walk with your hands in your pocket, again the answer is no. It would have been so much easier for them to walk around him wouldn't it?
All it takes is one numpty in uniform who thinks he is untouchable and better than everyone else to try and prove himself. They don't tend to stand up to the teenage delinquents like this do they, no just one harmless man.
Pathetic.
I feel very sorry for this mans family, so needless.

If a policeman did this on any street on a normal day whilst you were pottering along minding your own business then yes it is excessive. - perhaps.
But this was not an ordinary day. The old bill had cordoned off most of the streets so if you were around in the area then there was sufficient expectation you may be up to no good. If you choose to ignore plod in this type of situation it is your own fault. As for his hands in his pockets this could also be interppreted as holding a knife or similar.
All those saying policce brutality, just out of interest were you in the area that day ?

Rufus that is franky a really dumb suggestion
You might as well argue that you should have the right to go through red lights with a siren on your roof.
The Police have specific rights and responsibilities that you do not as an ordinary citizen.
It is an offense to bstruct a Policemen in the execution of his duties.
It's not an offense to obstruct a self-opinionated fool.

If he was obstructing them then they should have arrested him. He was obviously of no threat to them and wasn't being violent.
One simple way to decide if the police were being heavy handed imagine it is your dad, lives and works in the area, gets pushed on the ground for just being there. How would you feel looking at the footage. I am sure you wouldn't say that he deserved it then.
It is very easy to insult this man after his death but would you walk up to his relatives and voice your opinion to them?
