We now have a new way of terrorist coming into our country, apparently they come in from Pakistan on student visas, having trained in Al-Queda camps there, the people who have been arrested for (allegedly) plotting to blow up public places ie, football grounds and shooping centres, have done just this, I'm not sure what the answer is to this as we have students here from all over the world who are peaceful and law-abiding, many from Pakistan, but we need to tighten up, I suppose the police "nugget" who walked around with secret papers for all to see, did us a favour in the long run, the security services had to act and fast!

Sorry for calling you jake, vic I just don't know how that came about.

But I really take unkindly to being called simple however.

Your whole post was about disallowing nationals of this county to stop travelling to another ally country.

You are happy to restrict travel despite the fact that you don't even know if this case has any merit.

Where have you been, do you have access to the TV, radio or newspapers? It is a known fact, regardless of these present individuals, that there is a regular traffic of individuals that have been trained in terrorists camps situated in Pakistan coming into this country, even the Pakistani Government are prepared to admit this.

Certainly last year, facts showed that of all the people arrested under terrorist charges, less than 5% of people were even charged let alone convicted.

Even if only 5% are foiled from entering this country due to closed borders then all to the good.

I know that a lot of innocent people will suffer from not visiting their relatives etc, but eh! there where many French, Dutch, Belgium etc. families that where not able to hop over the channel to see their relatives and friends 60 odd years ago.

Wake up and smell the coffee vic, these "alleged" terrorist and many more like them in waiting, are abusing travelling here, even the Nationalists are going to Pakistan on "holiday", this gives the genuine people who want to visit their families there, a bad name.
What would you suggest, we wait for a huge catastrophy to happen, then start asking questions?
It's a shame but there are some rotten apples in among the good who are hellbent on destroying us
Just leaving for a mo to wring my hands in horror....lmao

Sadiq Khan, is London's first Muslim MP, imagine what is is going to be like when even more Muslims get in power?

Khan, whose parents are from Pakistan, suggested the UK should look to reach out to disaffected Muslim youths by emphasising the close links between the two countries. "Much of the Pakistani population doesn't realise the good we are doing," Khan said: the UK is to double aid to Pakistan to 180m by 2011.

Government figures show that 42,292 student visas were issued to Pakistanis between April 2004 and April 2008.

If these Students feel this way about us why do they come here? Judging by what Sadiq Khan says, we are making further trouble for ourselves.

And why are we handing 180m to Pakistan, when we are short of cash ourselves?
