Actually, Clinton was one of the most underrated Presidents in history in terms of doing the job.  If he had managed to keep his private life slightly more private, he would have been more appreciated

Waldo McFroog and ansteyg are wrong - he can't stand again.  The maximum that any President in the USA can serve is two-and-a-half terms, whether they are consecutive or not.  By the way, Hillary Clinton will never be a candidate for President.

Because she would be an uncomfortable reminder of the old decadent Clinton years.  And because 4 years is a long time in politics.  The two presidential candidates in 2008 will be chosen on the basis of who is who and what is what in 4 years time, not on the basis of who we think is fashionable now.  I remember that when Bush lost in 1992, people were predicting that Dan Quayle would run in 1996 (ha ha).

How about Hillary with Bill as Vice President standing for the Democrats and Colin Powell with Condaleeza Rice for the Republicans in 2008?

Bill Clinton could not be a candidate for VP because he can't be P again.  Whenever the P dies, the VP succeeds automatically, so he couldn't anyway.

A president can serve 2 terms or 10 years. After 1 term of not being President, he can run again for 2 terms or 10 years. This is one of the few times that a President has been young enough to do this. The present 2 term or 10 year max was enacted in 1951.

Can you provide a link for that, swaggerstick? As far as I can see the 22nd Amendment says clearly that you can only be elected twice. www.gpoaccess.gov/constitution/html/amdt22.html

He could still become president if for example he returned as vice-president, and the president died. But he can't be elected president again as I read it. Haven't found anything to say he can take a break then start over.
