Flint and Blears and the rest
The way these two women have behaved recently makes me wonder how they got to their positions in the first place. What sort of adult would wear a badge reading 'rocking the boat' at such a time? How petty and childish can one person be? If this is her mind set, it makes you wonder about the decisions she took in the Cabinet. Does she not have any brain cells at all? And Flint has also shown herself up. Stamping her foot because she was thwarted in her career - a dignified resignation would have served her better. From now on, thats all we will remember about these two. Margaret Beckett is a case in point. She had an excellent career path, ending up with one of the highest offices, Foreign Secretary. Prescott too had a high position but their eventual obituaries will recall first of all their greed in claiming ridiculous expenses. All their good work is forgotten,

jno....why the women?
Because the men have gone with dignity....the women with spite and venom.
All parties as corrupt? Yes, but Labour came in wth the slogan "We will be whiter than white"
Plus the MP for Bolsover at the slightest drop of a hot woujld direct at the Tories "Snouts in the trough"
For me Labour can teach the Tories quite a lot about sleeze and troughs.

It's quite obvious what's happening: they're all jockeying for position in the eventuality that there will be a leadership contest should Brown capitulate in the near future.
His cronies are remaining loyal whereas his detractors within the Party are now showing their true colours.
That's all there is to it, really.
