Communists curb free speech?
36 Answers
I know this has been posted previously, but I feel that I must personally object to the disgusting demonstration that took place outside 'The Mother Of Parliament' the very core of democracy that has bee copied the world over.
I am referring of course to the mob of communists intent on preventing free speech, and were allowed to pelt the leader of a legal democratic political party with rocks and eggs in order to break up his news conference.
It was interesting to note that the Police were not to be seen, and even if they where in the background still no arrests were made. Yet it is not all that long ago when a certain Muslim cleric was free to incite racial hatred outside a certain London mosque. The Police then stood close by not to arrest this individual, but to make sure no one pelted him with rocks and eggs, but you can take it for certain if anyone had they would have soon been arrested.
I am not a supporter of the BNP, but I will defend them in any way I can, to be allowed to have the right of freedom of free speech, the same right as each and everyone of us enjoys.
The BNP are always being labelled as Nazis, but witnessing those scenes outside parliament by the far left (who incidentally have just as much to answer for as the Nazis) was reminiscent of the scenes of the Hitler's Brown Shirts attacking in the streets all those who opposed them.

This is a legitimate party by law. what happened here is a clear violation of their human rights, I hope they sue the a*se off the old bill ansd anyone involved.
The labout party are a bunch of Stalinists who will oppose anything by any means.
I take it from this it will be fine for me to pelt Bottler and his unellected scum friends as I wish.

I was disappointed with the attacks, anotheold git and don't think it reflected well on the groups involved. Personally, I've always believed the BNP should be confronted in all public forums and their policies demolished with reasoned arguments. Allowing them to publicise themselves as the victims of anti democratic groups is worrying.
You can't throw things and attack people with umbrellas and then shout scum.
I don't agree with the B.N.P but clearly other people do and voted for them, that's democracy for you.
The N.S.D.A.P used to present themselves as the victims of political violence too, the reality is that their activists are just as keen to put the boot in look at the recent "March For England" demonstration.

Why was this BNP stunt staged outside of the UK parliament in the first place?
They won their seats 220 miles away in the North West and Yorkshire. The will work in Brussels, why didn't they parade outside the Parliament building there.
Having said that, I would have preferred to hear what he had to say, and Unite Against Fascism (David Cameron is listed as a supporter) probably did not do their cause much good.
Have you got any evidence that these people are Communists? I have not seen any reference to that on the TV and newspapers and from my own experience, people of all political persuasions do not like what the BNP stand for.

Oh dear AOG, you have really not been paying attention have you! Gay murdering, honour killing, baby raping , slaying the infidel Muslims are just living within their culture! they need police protection. Now those nasty pro British need a good seeing to , I really think you are getting off message here!
Oh goodie I seem to be getting to YMB
I do love the way that people seem to think free speech entitles them to say anything at all.
I am eagerly awaiting the post where YMG and AOG defend jihiadist websites as "free speech"
I'm sure they will not as clearly free speech ends at inciting people to break the law.
It is this abuse of free speech that the BNP are habitually guilty of - Griffin has a conviction for it.
And it's why, having abused the privillege of free speech so often they should be denied it.
Shame Griffin had an egg hurled at him - Kevin Scott NE regional organiser has a conviction for hurling glasses at people, well black people.
But that's better than Robert Bennet an activist in the 2002 campaign - he has a conviction for gang rape and armed robbery.
And there's a long list of others.
You guys really sure you wan't to defend these people?

Why was this BNP stunt staged outside of the UK parliament in the first place?
In the first place this was not a stunt as you called it, it was to be a perfectly legal press conference.
Secondly, have you not noticed that it now seems traditional for members of all political parties to use the green outside the Parliament building to give interviews with the media?
They won their seats 220 miles away in the North West and Yorkshire. The will work in Brussels, why didn't they there.
Might as well say why didn't those Tamil protesters parade outside the Parliament building in London, why didn't they parade in Sri Lanka?
Have I got any evidence that these people are Communists?
Well taking it that it was an organised mob, not just put together on the spur of the moment, more than likely by the 'Anti Nazi League', 'The Socialist Worker Party', Searchlight etc.
Any of these the term 'Far Left' has been associated with ideologies such as communism, socialism, social anarchism, anarchist communism, left communism, anarcho-syndicalism, Marxist-Leninism, Trotskyism, Maoism,
Take your pick Gromit.

Well personally jake I'm not against the mad mullahs' doing their rants, that's free speech after all it's just that they are given protection and have roads closed and general state assistance to do it. It's the double standards I object to. If I was to stand up trafalgar square talking about slaying the Muslim the old Bill would nick me PDQ that's the difference.

Exactly, if he said anything that broke the law then yes like anyone else he should be prosecuted, and no one is suggesting otherwise.
By 'Free Speech' I automatically assumed everyone realised that it does not include anything Liableness, liable to incite violence etc etc. surely this goes without saying?
And there's a long list of others.
Well don't get started on lists of wrong doing politicians Jake or we will be here to Domesday, we could start with 'Illegal' Wars followed by 'Expense Accounts'.
You guys really sure you wan't to defend these people?
Certainly not is the straight answer.

The Daily Mail report that the BNP 'security guard' assaulted a woman, and has a picture of the incident.
Television cameras captured disturbing images of one woman in a red jacket being aggressively shoved aside by a BNP security guard in the melee.
A female tourist was also injured.

AOG, Would you care to comment?

I fear Geezer you may be falling for BNP lies
In fact there have been several prosecutions
Abdullah al-Faisal, convicted of inciting murder and racial hatred
Iftikhar Ali, Ibrahim Abdullah Hassan
Umran Javed - He was convicted following the Danish Embassy protests about the cartoons that I think you may be obliquely referring to
And of course Abu Hamza al-Masri
