Any Sympathy For Mr Galloway?
"Respect" MP George Galloway claims to have been sexually abused at the age of 11 by a school janitor.
Given the extremely controversial and, some may say, "reviled" figure that he is, does anyone have sympathy for him? Could that be what made him what he is today?
Or did he "get" what he "deserved"?

I'm not sure chucking in question marks allows you to stand back and claim it was simply in the name of debate. It's so leftfield, it's reasonable to assume the writer sees an argument to support the view.
If I started a thread asking: "Holly and Jessica - did they deserve to die because they're a couple of slags?' I'd expect people to have a pop at me. Framing it as a question then writing a response a few hours later, saying I don't think they did wouldn't really wash.

I agree with ludwig and Quinlad. It was how the question was asked with all the question marks and inverted commas that made this question not really very nice. Just why did paraffin use the words "get" and "deserved", both in inverted commas to highlight and emphasise what he obviously meant. I said before, maybe poor choice of words, but nevertheless that was what was put in the original question. Despite those hysterical (very few it might be said) rising to paraffin's defence the rest of us can read more into it.
birdie, the problem with this question (and my own) is that it's offensive. It doesn't matter whether paraffin believes it or not, or uses all the quote marks and question marks in the world. It's still an offensive suggestion - and so it's hardly surprising that people have made it clear they're offended.
The problem with the question, other than it being pretty sick, is that it doesn't make sense chronologically.
Take Myra Hindley - she died of cancer fairly young. You could reasonably argue that she deserved that because of jet involvement in the Moors murders. But the 'karmic punishment' has to happen after the event, not before it.

I think I need to bring this to a close.
It was never my intention to offend anyone by the content of this post. But I agree that I should have worded it better. The only thing I can say in my defence is that it was 3am, I was tired and I was just about to go to bed when I found the article about Mr Galloway. So I hastily worded it and then went to bed.
Therefore, without going into one of my long winded explanations, I stand corrected and will try to do better with any future posts.

Thats as maybe andy.
But in all honesty he still hasnt and it seems will not answer his own question.
did he "get" what he "deserved"?
Irrespective of the written word and context he hasnt said it even in his final explanation.
Not so much a pack of hyenas in my opinion just people with children shocked at the lack of any clarification regards mr galloway.
