Had they been Muslim, the usual suspects would blame it on their hatred of all things Western.

So how should we approach the thorny subject of young white men behaving as they did last night in East London:

I think you'll find it's due to them being raised under a liberal education system where corporal punishment is outlawed.

Or lack of parental discipline.

Or basically any characteristic which differentiates them from the particular right-wing winger enriching society with the benefit of his opinion.

That is after all a major characteristic of right wing philosophy - a lack of tolerance for anything diferent from them and a readiness to blame any ill on that difference

Good point sp1814, I think we just all need to come to the very real conclusion that there are good and bad amongst us right across the board,black,white,asian, etc.. christian,muslim,hindu etc... badness and evil are not confined to the boundaries of any race,culture,colour or creed!

How long have you been waiting for an event such as this to take place so that you can accuse the whites of violent actions?

How do you know that these hooligans were solely young white men, don't young blacks and Asians also attend football matches?

Seeing that this took place in the London it does not surprise me, since there are stabbings and shootings on an almost daily basis, carried out mostly by black youths.

I don't condone violence whatsoever, no matter who carries it out especially football violence. I think also that the clubs where violence on such a scale takes place should be closed down, as would any other entertainment venue.

It's the whole mentality of those that watch football. They cannot conceive of anything that is not in their favour. The fact that 2 goals exists does not prepare them for the possibility that "our team" just possibly might concede a goal. Cue riotous anger. Just machine gun the fcukers if ask me. This is Millwall and West Ham we are talking about. A tie between the two teams happens very rarely as they play in different divisions and is relished by the hooligan elements of both teams.

Football hooliganism is a world-wide problem not just reserved for whites. In South America there are many deaths over team rivallry. Also google Galatasary in Turkey if you need to extend your knowledge in the subject.

Its a football problem, not a colour problem.

I think that after the match has finished and the players have left for the dressing room, the TV cameras have been switched off and covered and the decent football fans have left the stadium, these hooligans of whatever race, colour or creed should be invited onto the pitch to knock seven bells out of each other............it would thus free up the streets and minimise the need for all the pro-active policing and the attendant costs.

well Gromit they were attending a gathering where 2 teams of eleven kick an inflated sphere around some grass in the hope that one of them can at some stage get said sphere into the "net". When one of them acheived this it seemed involve one or other tribe running on the pitch an fighting with the other tribe. I thought I heard someone on the news refer to the event as a "football match". Still how wrong can you be, so what is the game known as then Gromit?

Basically, he chewed a fake blood capsule so it would look as if he was injured, so he would have to leave the field and be replaced by a specialist goalkicker to take a vital kick... the team doctor then cut his lip with a scalpel to make the injury look more real.

Something of a blot on the noble middle-class reputation of rugby, I'm afraid. But confined to the field of play.
