And now the bear is dead instead of living a nice life at the circus.
The bear should never have been in the circus being made to do things that are completely unnatural to it.
This was a wild animal who should have been allowed to roam in the Russian wilderness,not put on a pair of ice skates and perform day in,day out.

Exactly my point Daffy.... Its sickening that we as humans degrade animals in such a way. When mother nature retaliates - its a stark reminder of why what we do is so very wrong.
Unfortunately the article states this is COMMON among other russian circuses!
I suppose as long as the Russian public want to see this sort of thing the circus' will keep capturing bears and other wild animals.Education is what is needed.
My sympathies are with the bear. But he is probably better off now!!!

If I was a bear and would face life in a circus, fed well and looked after or being alone in the woods hunting for food to survive, I know where I would rather be.

When will people realise that animals are not play things & don't like being man-handled!
