It just had to happen, I am surprised it hasn't happened sooner.
Can I hear the Lawyers at the Tower's gates, queueing up to take on her compensation claim?

/// Seriously, though, you seem to be implying it's a bad thing that the presence of women in various professions has increased in the last 50 years. Why? ///
I have no objection at all of women's involvement in certain various professions .
What I do find hard to comprehend is for the present vogue of women taking on tasks that in the past have exclusively been male responsibilities.
For instance, I think it would be wrong for women to fight side by side on the front line with men, Incidentally there doesn't appear to any objections from the Women's Movements over this, I wonder why.
I also consider that although women have a place in the Police Service, pounding the beat alone at night is not one.
Similarly as with the Fire Service, could a woman single handily, drag a very heavy man from a blazing building?
It is all down to the fact that there are noticeable differences between the two sexes, and no amount of PC legislation can change this obvious fact.
As regards women being Beef-Eaters why is she still the only femail one?
Does she patrol the Tower and guard the Crown Jewels on her own at night, as a man could be called on to do ?

AOG. Some women are stronger than men, braver than men and more able than men. Some men are positive weaklings. What I am trying to say if then women are capable (and I include the front line) and have the wish to do a job then let them. Not for me, I am not brave or strong - but that's not necessarily because I am femail. What I object to is being being stopped from doing things simply because of their gender!
I do not know whether beefeaters work singly or in pairs whilst guarding the Queens Jewels! And do policemen patrol the streets alone these days. I thought they patrolled in pairs.
You wanna fight AOG!!!!! ;o)

AOG - guarding the tower - yes in a ceremonial capacity surely. If a gang of armed terrorists was to attack the Tower, the Beefeaters wouldn't pull out assault rifles from under those tunics and return fire would they?
I could be wrong. I don't claim to be an expert on Beefeater's duties or the security arrangements at the Tower of London, I'm happy to be corrected. Even so, a woman could still do that.
