Yeah good clear thinking - while you're at it why not blame all of Ireland for the IRA, all of Germany for the Holocaust and all of the West country for Fred West.

Well done you!

jake

thanks for your expanded overall view in agreement

i also blame all scots for giving us hopeless politicians
Who do you blame for the desperate drop in IQs amoungst the right wing?
Whether, when and how we get out of Afghanistan is a serious question.

To be made on a basis of how we end up with the most secure situation after.

Not on the basis of a knee jerk reaction to a particular event.

You want to be taken seriously on the question. Try thinking about what Afghanistan would look like after we pull out and what effect that would have on us in the west.

PS think about what happened to North Korea and how that affects us now

cant answer that but...

presumbaly there is a new large government quango that deals specifically and exclisively with the production of data relating to intelligence quotient and relevant political tendancies

better than spending the money on military helicopters then

We taxpayers spend millions on military helicoptors every year and yet if you turn up at an airbase and ask to have a go in one, they won't let you. How on earth can that be fair?
Errr...so you've posted a thread, and answered it on our behalf.

So there's nothing more to say, right?
Part of me says lets get out and let them murder each other, but I'm willing to admit that Jake's answers whenever this comes up have won me over. The problem is that we don't want it to return to pre 911 taliban control. Personally I think there may some milage in pulling ground troops out and doing it mostly from the air, with the occasional special forces raids where necessary But I'm not a military expert and I trust the guys that are know roughly what they are doing. Ok Jake over to you, are they doing all they can? Is there anything that can be done to get the place in a stabel state so we can leave them to prosper on their own?
The majority on this site make me sick, I can only assume that most must be of the Muslim faith who are employed mainly in call centres, and come onto this site with your snide remarks, all in your employers time.

Zacsmaster is a typical example, He says "he is sick to the back teeth with the media whipping up a frenzy of emotion over the deaths of soldiers", and then tries to offer sympathy to their families.I have yet to see him condemn the frenzy of emotion shown over the death of a certain pop star or a Princess even.

Yes they are soldiers at war and they risk losing their lives. But not in this horrible way, which is typical of these Muslim fanatics and their violent religion. These lads had removed their body armour, hard helmets and weapons as a sign of trust, while they had a cup of tea with this scum.

It is said the perpetrator of this cowedly act, escaped on his motor bike. Had one of our soldiers lifted his rifle and emptied it's magazine in this thugs back, all hell would have been let loose. for starters he would have been put on house arrest, pending an enquiry with most likely a court marshal at the end.

Then we would have then had all the usual traitorous, hand wringing lefties on this site, calling for him to be locked up and the key thrown away, pathetic.

No good saying this is only an isolated case the rest of them are hard working decent people, as the usual cry goes out, I wouldn't trust any of these slimy crafty individuals. If these lads had not been under orders to trust them and to win hearts and minds, then they would have most likely still been alive.

Rest in Peace

My condolences go out to these lads grieving families, and bring our troops home straight away, there has been enough lives lost already in this hell hole of a country.
Well said AOG.

And Zacmaster -TAKE NOTE

Armed Forces Minister Bill Rammell said "Clearly as a result of this incident there is an investigation and if there are any lessons to be learned those will undoubtedly be taken on board," he told the BBC.

"If there are any lessons to be learned" ????????

"Taken on board"???? along with countless other in the past, all that have now obviously fallen overboard.

Where do these people come from?

Of course even now without any inquiry, there are plenty of lessons to be learned.

Firstly don't put our troops in a situation like this again.

Why did our Medical Emergency Response Teams use an American Black Hawk as well as Chinooks, once again are we still short of equipment?

Why do we have to train the Afghans on top of all the other duties we have to carry out?

If their own country men are incapable of training them, then train them in the safety of this country.

But foremost Brown should stop dithering, get onto his opposite numbers in Europe and NATO, and tell them that it is now time to reverse roles, Britain have done their share, time for others to step onto the front line.

Aren't their politicians also concerned about keeping terrorists from their countries, if so why should so much British blood be spilt to protect their countries?

Or do their politicians value the lives of their armed forces, much more than Brown values ours?

This is History repeating itself, Aden 1967.

I know the Miltary situation is different, bet the end result will be the same, we should withdraw now.
