So this savage gunman who killed 12 and injures a further 31 troops on their own base, was not only a senior officer, an educated army psychiatrist, but also a devout Muslim.
In light of this horrible crime, following shortly behind the Afghan policeman's massacre of 5 of our troops in Afghanistan, is it not more reasons that those of the Muslim faith should never be employed in sensitive occupations ever again?

Of course not.
Likewise, taking two incidents, and then applying your conclusion to a quarter of the world's population is wrong. We don't know yet why the Major in Texas did what he did, but the Afghanistan incident was a straight forward ambush in an increasingly dirty war.

Taking on board your exaggerated claim that our prisons are full of ex-servicemen.
Can you now provide the proof of how many amongst them are mass murderers?
Your other incorrect statement is that the Afghanistan incident was a straight forward ambush in an increasingly dirty war.
This was no ambush as such, but a member of the Afghan police suddenly turning on his own comrades and slaughtering them.
/// We don't know yet why the Major in Texas did what he did,///???????????????????
Taken from the report.
Hasan, who was furious about US military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan,
Retired Colonel Terry Lee who worked with the major said: 'He was so outspoken I once said to him, "Look, you got to cool it".
'He was reacting with open glee at the death of some soldiers by a suicide bomber. I told him, "You might not agree with this but this is the army and we are here to serve the country.'
Mr Lee said Hasan repeatedly stated: 'Muslims should rise up against the aggressors.'
'He was very much against that and he was appealing through the channels for the deployment to be cancelled,' Mr Lee said.
I repeat, now is the time to take strong action against followers of this evil religion, before some other incident sparks off something very serious.
It doesn't take much, look what triggered off the 1st world war.

PS just saw the last line of your post
"We don't know yet why the Major in Texas did what he did,"
So it's a case of we don't know yet - but let's not let that stop us from branding millions of muslims dangerous traitors?
You are a scream - you should be on the stage - really! - preferably just above a trap door

Two more examples,
A fatal shooting at an army recruiting base in Little Rock, Arkansas. The suspect, Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, faces trial for murder.
Sergeant Hasan Akbar in 2003 threw a grenade into a tent of his comrades in Kuwait. He was sentenced two years later to death and the prosecution claimed he had been motivated by Islamist extremism.

I didn't say any were mass murderers.
//This was no ambush as such, but a member of the Afghan police suddenly turning on his own comrades and slaughtering them.//
A member of al qaeda infiltrated the police force and under that guise was able to get himself into a situation where he could kill as many of the enemy as possible. Dirty tactics but this is a dirty war.

/// i thought he went on the rampage because he was about to be sent to iraq and couldn't handle it.
not because he was a muslim.///
Did you really think this out before you posted it?
That may or may not be the reason, but it is fact that he is a Muslim and his crime was motivated by his religion and nothing can alter that fact.
Read the report.

was it ?
"The serviceman was about to be posted to either Iraq or Afghanistan and argued regularly against the wars, it has been claimed.
Base commanders and the Pentagon said they had no early indication of a motive for the shootings."
do you have inside information then ?

ah yes, i have seen that interview on fox news. very politically driven isnit.
it seems to me that other people say he loved being in the us military but was starting to get distressed from his role as psychiatric advisor to the relatives of the dead and wounded soldiers, and at being posted to iraq. perhaps he had ptsd.

This religious nut only behaved as a stereotype in which Muslims are regarded. Shouting 'God is Great' he killed in cold blood. How many more Muslims in our community are latent killers or suicide bombers. If they are so against the West why don't they go back home to fight the cause instead of being leeches in our society.
