What makes Brown think he will be anymore successful now than he has been in the past, in trying to get the rest of NATO to send more troops into Afghanistan?

/// Brown also said he was rejecting the "fortress Britain" strategy that would involve a phased withdrawal of British troops and strengthening of anti-terrorism measures in the UK////.

//// The prime minister said he rejected this because three-quarters of terrorist plots against the UK originated in Afghanistan and Pakistan.////

The plots may have originated in Afghanistan and Pakistan, but the bombings etc that have taken place in Britain, were perpetrated by how home grown terrorists.

So bringing our troops home and strengthening our own anti-terrorism measures, seems a pretty good idea to me.

Whilst we have a weak and usless lefty Govt we will get no where. Browns words are always just that words, rarely backed by action. As the Septics saty walk the walk and dont talk the talk
Perhaps then, you'd care to explain how you'd use the troops to strengthen our Anti-terrorism measures.

I'm guessing you'll reject slashing the Defense budget and giving MI5 the money?

To stop the problem before it gets anywhere near our shores seems like a pretty good idea to me.

Where have you been? The problems are here already, they don't have to cross any shores.

For some reason Brown thinks he has the answers to all the world's problems. We led the world out of recession but forgot to include Britain.

He is now leading the world in Afghanistan telling Obama to get a move on and promising more troops himself.

Don't you think this country would be better run by Angela Merkel?

Oh, I forgot he turned down to join the Euro, we licked Geo. Bush's a*se and sent in more troops that we can't afford, have 10 million unemployed and the richest bankers on the planet. We are leading the world in how not to run a country.
