£10 notes have been around for many years, so how is it that they have suddenly become scarce?
I think it is fivers that are in short supply judging by the number of heavy £1 pound coins I am given in change..
Bring back the pound note, I say.

That means folk from other countries involved can benefit from Britain's laws and Britons can benefit from the other countries's. Switzerland is one of the countries with which we have an RA for some State Benefits.
Ilford Park is administered by the Service Personnel and Veterans Agency (part of the MOD) and was set up for the Polish troops who fought for us in WW II. There was an Act passed in 1947 The Polish Resettlement Act and that placed a responsibility for meeting the needs, either by cash allowance or maintenance of certain classes of Poles and their dependants.
I work in a Post Office and the memo has been taken out of context. What they were saying was that for the winter fuel payments - which are to be paid out in the weeks beginning November 16th and November 30th that some branches would receive some £50 notes in with their normal cash delivery. This is not because they are running out of £10 notes. This is only for the weeks with the higher payouts. Our branch received some £50 notes last year, but haven't received any yet this year.
