Is a high percentage of users here mail readers or is it just referred to to find controversial issues?

Isf so can these issues not be found in other papers?

Just wondering.

It may be that at least one regular poster posts under more than one name
I think you'll find similar slants in other papers particularly the express.

However there is a certain cross section of the population that finds itself with time on it's hands and they gravitate to boards like this. That's a population that also represents the Mail's core market.
I buy the Mirror jake, and if I have time on my hands...then so you must have too
Then why have you just posted a link from the Mail Bobbi?
heard it first on Mathew Wright, and took it from online,,,problem with that jake?
btw, the panel all agreed of the total disrespect shown to our Judiciary system?

Mail and Telegraph...........what do you deduce from that?
/// We used to have the Mail but I dropped it like a hot potato over their particularly vitriolic abuse towards the previous Speaker of the House of Commons, Michael Martin. ///

That answers the question why the Mail is so popular, how many people would come to the defence of loathsome "Gorbals Mick"?

The first Speaker to be forced out of office by a motion of no confidence since 1695, he was however granted a peerage for his misdemeanour's.
I have a theory...

The Daily Mail, more than any other popular UK newspaper, tends to polarize opinion. You either heartily agree with the editorial content or political slant to their stories, or vehemently oppose them.

Therefore, the paper, whatever you think, is an excellent source for people who either strongly agree or disagree with strong right wing views.

If there were a newspaper which was the polar opposite, my guess is that you'd find links to their stories too...but there isn't really (the Mirror is very soft Left).
Which papers are right and which are left?
There was a customer in the shop where I work saying that all the papers apart from the Independent are owned by the 'bloody Tories'?
The people who are shortly going to run the country read The Times
The people who think they run the country read The Telegraph
The Financial Times is read by the people who own the country
The people who have run the country unsuccessfully for the last 12 years read The Guardian
The Independent is read by people who got to the newsagents after stocks of The Guardian and The Times were exhausted
The people who think they know how to run the country read The Mail, then they post on AB
The Express is read by the wives of people who think they run the country, who unfortunately pass it on to their spouse. Sometimes that results in further postings (see above).
The Mirror is read by the people who vote for the people who read the Guardian
The Sun is read by the people who will vote for the people who will run the country next
The Star is read very slowly, with your lips moving to follow the words. The pictures sometimes help.
Well said Buildersmate !!
Every time you click a Daily Mail page they get advertising revenue and enhance their online visitor number status, it just encourages them.
