60 year old, Iris Robinson, the DUP MP, took a teenage lover, then 'borrowed' £25000 from each of two property developer 'friends' to set him up in business.
The business was located in a council owned property and she was on the committee which agreed to give him the tenancy.
She says that god has forgiven her. Has she done anything that might bring her to the attention of the police? If she has, would they be as forgiving?

Read all about it here.
How does she know that God has forgiven her ?

Did He send her an email ?

Or does she speak to God ?

If she has a channel of communication to God, she is flying in the face of the official line which the Church has tried to establish for 2,000 years, that God communicates with man through the Ministers of His Church. Perhaps she would, therefore, advocate the abolition of the formal Church, as being a redundant institution.

Either that ... or she's just talking sh!te.

I think that god may communicate with her directly. Or rather, she thinks that he does.
I am not letting Elsie (my 85 year old wife) read this story.
It's not the business side I am worried about,it's the 19 year old lover!
don't want her getting ideas/
LOL
Or here's another thought.... She has NO shame.....
Why do people always call on God after they've consciously done something wrong or immoral?
So pathetic and patronising...
I got a penalty for forgetting to pay the Congestion Charge recently.

But God has forgiven me, too.

Instead of paying the Penalty, I think I might write in, explaining that I have been pardoned by an authority considerably greater than Transport For London.

Joggerjane,
does he/she/it talk directly to you too?
If you pen a nice letter to Boris explaining what was said I'm sure they'll let you off.
Society ... the other one that bugs me is how American sportsmen thank God for helping them win.

The guy who won The Open last year thanked God.

I thought it was a bit mean of God to take sides in the play-off.

I mean ... did God have a problem with Tom Watson? Is Tom a secret Satanist? LOL

I should think with the state of our World, God has more pressing commitments than helping [whatever his name was] to beat Tom Watson at golf.
Perhaps then we shouldn't refer to her indiscretion and indecency as such, but as "deferred fidelity" ?

We could refer to shoplifting or perjury as "deferred honesty".

God is all-forgiving.
Jolly good luck she's not a Muslim.

She would be stoned for Adultery.
We could be drunk and disorderly... but only charged with "deferred sobriety".
drunk and disorderly = happy and jolly
I was extremely happy and jolly last night :-)
You seem to have survived, NoMercy.

I might have a small white wine tonight.
I don't feel too bad, JJ. I'm cooking a proper dinner later, so I daresay that'll sort me out.
