no we are talking about smoking at the moment why must we leak into other issues, they are separate subjects, raise your own thread if you like. The governement has a stated aim of reducing this disgusting anti social habit that's what I'm talking about, can you not get your thick heads around that? Yes bootlegging will increase but believe me rasing the cost will work, does anyone know a smoker who can get bootlegg 100% of the time? May I reiterate that smoking is not a net contributor to taxes, it is estimated that direct and indirect costs add up to 20 billion, they put in 6billion now with my price increase taking into account a 50% reduction in sales to be pessimistic, assuming £4 per pack is tax, then the tax take would become £75 billion now we could use that!
