Hypothetically speaking, if Argentina was to re-launch it's previous invasion attept on the Falklands, and taking into account Britain's commitments in Afghanistan, would we have a strong enough fighting force to protect our South Atlantic interests?

In a few months in 1982, 255 British personel were killed in the Falklands conflict.
It had taken seven long years for that toll to be passed in Afghanistan, the 256th died on Monday.
The lesson seems to be that if you get your victory over with quickly, public opinion stays on your side and the death toll will be forgotten.

Before telling people that they don't know what they are talking about, perhaps you should question yourself.
Much better than making a complete idiot of one's self, but then in your case that isn't all that difficult.
/// The British Nationality (Falkland Islands) Act 1983 (1983 c. 6) was an Act of Parliament passed by the British Parliament, which came into force on January 1, 1983. The purpose of the Act was to grant British citizenship to residents of the Falkland Islands, a British Dependent Territory in the South Atlantic.///

AOG, I suggest you check your history.
1981: The British Nationality Act 1981 effectively removed right of abode and citizenship from Falkland Islanders.
1982: Argentine invades Falklands
1983: The British Nationality (Falkland Islands) Act effectively restores the rights removed in 1981.
I suggest that you:
a) Brush up on your history
b) Admit that it's you rather than Jake who is making a fool of himself.
