Yet another sad case

Yet another little brief life taken away.
Life seems so cheap these days, I Googled this case and could only find reference to it from mainly the BBC, the Sun and a couple of local papers.
Is it all too easy to bring what can only be described as un-wanted babies into the world?
What can be done to curb this situation?
Would getting rid of child allowance and other beneficial incentives, be the answer?
If not then what?

The point I am trying to make is the fact that there are many unsuitable people bringing children into the world.
Planning a family is a very responsible action, not to be taken lightly. Therefore one should be prepared to make sacrifices in order to carry these responsibilities out.
Some have asked what have benefits etc, got to do with it?
Well I say to them, just visit a sink estate, where some of these mothers have child after child, in fact they are given the name as "baby machines".
Then join the queue of most post offices on Monday mornings, and see how much money they withdraw.
And you are not telling me that they don't consider how much extra they will get by having "Another"?

Good point Sandy, but according to the report he will be deported.
/// Akinrele was jailed for life yesterday and must serve at least 16 years, after which he will be deported.///
But don't hold your breath, perhaps he will be allowed to stay, for his own safety, because they may kill child murderers in Nigeria.

I think you are reading it wrong rov.
He fathered the child simply because he thought by having a child they would not deport him.
Since he fathered the child for this sole reason, he had no particular love for it. thus In his twisted mind the child became a nuisance, and he systematically administered the abuse that finally killed this poor little child.
