Hotel cleanliness....

Have you ever booked into a hotel and secretly asked yourself if they've really actually cleaned the room, changed the bed clothes, washed the shower, checked under the bed for corpses...

Oh good grief! And I was annoyed when in a 5 star hotel, I found the previous occupier's rubbish in the bathroom bin!

Under the bed? I always check if someones in the bed.

I always take a bottle of TCP and clean all surfaces - even the showerhead - when we have stayed in a chalet the first thing I normally do is hot foot it to the reception and get a new toaster, frying pan and kettle, I thorough wash all crockery and cutlery.

This usually means I miss the first round of Bingo, but hey ho I was never one for housey housey......(:0 D

Youth Hostels where the bed occupancy can change daily now have a policy of changing the sheet and pillowcases for each visit. Because of the reputation of unwashed youths it was a step in the right direction.

when leaving a 'hotel' once years ago, i reached under the bed an waved my arm...just to check id left nothing behind...only to find 2 syringes...nice...
