The other main concern is whether you are actually dead before some enthusiast decides to remove any organs they want...... - who decides you are?
They can't get mine mixed up, the large bloated old one is my liver lol.
everyone should have all their organs harvested when they die with or without their previous consent - problem solved - enough said

and who decides when they are "dead" iggy?
I believe that they would consider you dead if you had stopped breathing and showed no brain (& brain stem) activity. Anybody would think that they (NHS) are carving people up for spares as soon as they come through the doors.
Not sure I'd trust any IT project in any sector of government.
Aren't the geeks in the process of placing all our medical records on a single system that can be accessed from anywhere?

Great timing for this little bombshell!
posting on AB is widely regarded in the medical world as a sign that you're brain dead.
I think Monty Python had it right

I assume as its an NHS donor scheme patients in private hospitals are exempt from donating?

What worrries me is could I be revived but they wouldn't bother because they'd rather have my organs?

Couldn't agree more birdie, you either want to donate or you don't. Once you're dead what use will the organs be? Either reduced to ashes of fertilise the daisies. I can't see the problem here.
Question Author
No birdy not against donation, I'm against the ever growing, "what's the problem?" culture that you ably demonstrate. I'm not a donor but if others want to that's fine. I'm against the Opt out suggestion and the general evangelism surrouding this. I'm not religious at all as you are no doubt aware from other posts.
Do you need a perfect body so that you can be embalmed, like Lenin for example, and then you could be wheeled out for an annual AB posting? Or has that happened already?
Question Author
No biblet1t but I'm quite keen on being brown bread before I get carved up in the back of an ambulance.
Why can't they just have an opt-out system, if you don't want to donate your organs, you register. Anyone who doesn't register automatically gets their organs used, problem solved.
Question Author
you register? right oh, like those in the link above you mean? Governement IT is a shower of sh1te.
