I know I am once again walking on dodgy ground, but in the interest of a debate, is this study completely correct?

Yes one cannot doubt that some mixed persons are more attractive than some solely Black persons or some solely White persons.

But isn't the attractiveness down more to the influx of the White gene than the Black gene?

/// The attractiveness of the perfectly tanned skin certainly isn't. White people pay fortunes to look like that.///

Exactly my argument naomi, hence the attractiveness of some mixed races.

But given the chance, what White person would pay a fortune to have a completely black skin?

Now be honest.
Neither AOG

19 posts doesn't suggest great interest either, just that this Question was even more ludicrous than the other which you copy from the tabloid comics with monotonous regularity and which generate the usual critique that you choose to disregard.
OK AOG you're absolutely right.
We have just been teasing you all this time.

white people are more attractive than black people
white people are more intelligent than black people
white people are more civilised than black people
white people are more moral than black people
white people are more hard working than black people
white people are more honest than black people
white people are more (well you fill in the gaps)

Now that's settled will you please, please go and exercise your narrow mind and limited thinking elsewhere?
That isn't your argument at all AOG. Your argument is that the white gene produces the attractiveness - and it clearly doesn't.
Since I make now 5 of the answers on this thread I shall explain my absence on your other noted thread because I simply don't read every thread on this site and go into the odd few that I feel I can contribute to or if time allowing I post on. My lack of contribution on your other thread as no other agenda and I am truly saddened that you hold such a distorted view of opinion.

Furthermore I also consider this comment - 'But given the chance, what White person would pay a fortune to have a completely black skin?' incredibly rascist. Your comment says more about the attitude of a 'white' person than it does about a 'black' person.

If you want to talk about honesty Oldgit then my heart breaks at your comments, I am close to shedding tears at what you write today, so saddened and disappointed. And worse, you can't even apologise. It's so difficult for you to do.

As a man who has fought against facism and intolerance during the war I would like to wholeheartedly condemn anotheoldgit's appalling racist comments. These type of attitudes have no place in my country, hang your head in shame you fool.

My granddaughter is dating a black and he is one of the nicest and most thoughtful young men I have ever known, he is certainly worth 10 of you anotheoldgit.
AOG

If you weren't a racist, then the comment about white genes wouldn't have occured to you. Seriously. There's no problem speculating as to why people seem to find mixed-race people more attractive, but if your curiosity on that issue was at the front of your mind, then you simply wouldn't feel the need to crowbar in a comment that essentially thinks 'white genes' are better.

And before you say it, that -is- what seems to underline that comment. If the 'white gene' is intrinsically more likely to cause attractiveness than the 'black gene', then that means essentially that 'whiteness' can make even a black more attractive. That is racist. I know that you probably don't think it is, but it is. The reason you can't appreciate the subtle differences is because you are a racist. I think you need to embrace that fact, we all know it.

And I agree with Gromit, it made me laugh.
onlineoap - i wouldnt bother quoting the war to aog he has already stated on this website that he feels hitler had some good ideas and that he felt conflicted during the war. This question is nothing new, constant racism is something we have grown used to from this old nazi.
As many have said, I don't think race has anything to do with it. I know white people who find black people attractive and vice versa. Its down to personal preference rather than the influx of one gene over another.
Nice try at attempting to veil this racism with what seems like a reasonable question, but its becoming a little transparent now
"But given the chance, what White person would pay a fortune to have a completely black skin?"

What black person would want to pay a fortune to have completely white skin. And no, Micheal Jackson does not count
