BNP leaflet.
47 Answers
The postman has just posted some election leaflets through my door, among them was one for the BNP.
Their pledges were, /// bring our troops home from Afghanistan, saying "our brave troops have been sent to die in an unwinnable war which has nothing to do with Britain or British interests".///
/// Put a stop to immigration.///
/// Raise the weekly pension to £150, the £18 billion Lab-Lib-Con give China and India to 'adapt' to non-existent Climate Change should go to our pensioners.///
Can't see anything wrong with these points, but I am sure there are plenty out there that will disagree.
But please let's have facts, not scary stories one has heard about the BNP.

I suspect that the issue here is not that there is anything 'bad' about these ideas, just that they are naive and simplistic.
/bring our troops home from Afghanistan/
yes - and i bet all the parties would like to wave that particular magic wand but it probably has repercussions on other aspects of foreign policy and allied co-operation in NATO etc
/Put a stop to immigration/
what? even when we need skills the current workforce can't provide? I think most people would pragmatically settle for more control rather than a blanket ban.
/Raise the weekly pension to £150, the £18 billion Lab-Lib-Con give China and India to 'adapt' to non-existent Climate Change should go to our pensioners/
Two points here. First, the pension should be raised, current rates are a disgrace for such a large economy as ours. Second, the government waste £18 billion in all sorts of places; I suspect the deal with India/China is a lot more complex than us packing a ginormous suitcase with cash and handing it over.
There will be other dependecies but the subtleties of such global deals may have eluded the lads at Skinhead HQ.

The majority of Taliban we are fighting are not Al Quaeda terrorists they are locals who want control of their own country.
Not unreasonable of them really even if their style of government is abhorrent to us.
I admit, there is an argument that with Taliban control non Afghan terrorists could use Afghanistan as a base of operations against us but unless the Pakistan north west is sorted they can do that anyway.

Zehul - When the Taliban ran Afghanistan they gave shelter to every terrorist group and crackpot group in the middle east. Which is why we are still there.
The Taliban may be locals but the majority of Afgans don't want a totalitarian Taliban government.
BNP bring our boys home what and miss the chance to bash some P^%$&.

I see the BNP want to stop immigration from Muslim nations in their manifesto.

But some political opponents says the BNP are "extreme and their policies divisive".
But the same could be said for many Muslims in the UK.
So it is OK to keep letting in extreme Muslims, but wrong to vote for a "extreme" (in their words) political party.

Please dont tell me this country cannot provide the workers neccessary to fill the the job vacancies currently available, I'd be interested to find out how many unemployed people are actually immigrants that came to this country to fill the gaps in the jobs market prior to the credit crunch. I dont care which political party you bend over for or get to tickle your ears, but there is absolutely no need for this country to continue allowing immigration into this counrty under the pretext of "skills shortages" Labours policy of unchecked or otherwise immigration has brought the infrastructure of this counrty to its knees. The sooner the proverbial hits the fan the better.........
