I don't think it will be so easy for the US to take us to war, now that the Lib-Dems hold some power.

Just because you carry a big stick does not mean you intend to use it. Its unlikely the US will attack a sovereign country as it has the backing of its own citizens. Better to tackle a weak divided country where insurgents flourish. Somalia and Yemen must be in the sights of military planners.
