To all those AOG haters

Some on this site have from time to time wished ill of me and on some occasions wish me dead, my heinous crime? to simply post questions that they disagree with, or daring to criticise the acts of some of the immigrants to this country and also those who have committed unspeakable acts, some who's skin colour happens to be different to mine.

No matter what they have done, I have never wished anyone of them dead, I may at times called for the return of the death penalty for some of the most horrific crimes, no matter what their skin colour, but never dead for little reason.

I have been insulted and called various derogative names, such as racist, and a bigot, but I would rather be called all these and much more, than a person that can wish another human being dead.

Even if these accusations happened to be true, to chose between a racist and a person that wishes other human being dead, I would chose to be a racist,, I know which makes a better person of the two.

This brings me to another question which I have an inkling of the answer -

Are all these persona's (there are many others) that of Ed and/or spare Ed or one or two external individuals?

Is this a massive AB conspiracy to keep the site going? It is funny how Ed's answer on the S & C section under the train thread is quite 'reserved/detached'?

However the give away is the character behind the persona's - confrontational at times bordering on cruel but with a heart when confronted? And not forgetting the dubious names.

I think I've said enough before I end up too paranoid.

Absolutely incredible, here we have a self confessed intelligent??????, who has posted only 52 questions on AB, very few, if any on News items, criticising me for posting news stories taken from various sources and including a link which incidentally many insist on.

Doh! isn't this what the News Topic section is all about? but then how would you know seeing that you have only ever posted 50 plus questions on AB, and not many of them news stories. How else can a person post on news stories if one doesn't use the media for the source, corner shop gossip perhaps?

Incidentally, if I have no self created opinions, please oh please tell the rest of them, perhaps it will then relieve me of some of the flack I receive for voicing my own opinions.

If I were you Quizmonster I would stick to your Quiz and Puzzle and Chatterbank sites that you know best, and leave the news topics to the 'Big Boys & Girls'.

Seadragon - I have often wondered myself if an avatar or 2 on this site are in the employ of AB - just to spice things up - but hey what does it matter we're all avatars here anyway and if it makes our poor avatar lives a little more interesting....then just enjoy a varied take on the news and commentaries.

You're quite laughable, really, Anotheoldgit. First you get my name wrong and later right, then you say - TWICE - that I have asked only about 50 questions and not many of them are news-related. Do you actually bother to check through what you've written at any time?
And do you imagine that simply asking endless questions is somehow worthy? Only you would believe that my lack of questions implies a lack of knowledge about the news or the News Category here itself...I've been reading it for years longer than you have!
The fact appears to be that you check the Mail to see what it is you are supposed to be angry about each day, then - duly and dutifully - get angry about it!
Of course one has to use the media to discover what is in the news, but your big mistake is your belief that the Mail is actually a NEWSpaper. Try checking how many of the TRUE newspapers give the same prominence to the Mail's key story on any given day. Five minutes ago, for example, the Mail's online home-page highlighted a "barbaric" black man (obviously) who has raped a woman, whilst the Times stresses the impact on world markets of the euro bailout.
Now, which of these is actually important NEWS and which plays to the Mail reader's inbuilt prejudices? (I do not intend to belittle the rape-victim's suffering here, but it is of small importance in world or even national terms.)

To return to the point here...
Re your words about Zeuhl, you are someone who clearly hates...odious actually means "worthy of hatred"...another AB user. You then explain how you wish him to be, in effect, buried alive. That sounds pretty likely to produce death to me. Yet you create this thread, decrying the fact that others "hate" YOU and wish YOU "dead" What's sauce for the goose (you) most assuredly isn't sauce for the gander (anyone else) in your book, is it? Pathetic!

I must rise in defence of my comrade-at-arms Quizmonster who is most definitely a real person, and possibly the second-longest serving member of the AB community.

I have always found his answers to be thoughtful, errudite, educational, and utterly without malice, so I must take issue with your attitude AOG - attacking another member is surely the action which you deplore in your original post.

Admittedly, your argument is against the strength of feeling against you, but fostering anomosity against another long-term poster is hardly the way to educate our newer memebrs in the ettiquette of the AB is it?
