give cameron another few months, he is trying :)
Dr. Filth.....those links were quite interesting and I had never heard of the "Scuttlers " before.

That was then.....this is now.

Since the days of the "Scuttlers" we have had half a century or more of the Welfare State, ( we will look after you from the cradle to the grave)
Are you suggesting that in the last hundred years that nothing has changed?
If so and I take your point, then isn't this an indictment of the Welfare State and subsequent Political Parties.

Interesting links doc.
Dr Filth.

Scuttlers, Robin Hood.....all gangs as you say.

The difference now?....they are all black LOL...my point? don't ask.
sandRoe # if they had an idea of the grim reality of prison life they might be less inclined to use a knife. # But is it grim ? The scenes we see on TV look quite good. Their accomodation is far far better than I had in the army and they have far better entertainment facilities. The only thing lacking is their freedom. I have spoken to several non violent ex-prisoners and they were not over bothered about their time inside . It certainly didn't seem to have been much of a deterrent.

but notice Dr, that it's in their Chinese (china town) area not in the general street .and its a very rare occurrence compared with the black incidences

jacksprat it is called china town because of all the restaurants, there would have been people from all walks of life down there

had a couple of friends sat in a restaurant when one night a triad gang came in and smashed the place up with machetes, that never got in the paper
ummmm # Cat A's are not pleasant places. # In what way is it unpleasant ?
Who goes to Cat A prisons ?
yes DR i know china town and Manchester very well of course there are all races in that area its a tourist spot besides all the eating establishments BUT i say again these incidences very rarely spread from " china towns" be it in Manchester London Birmingham etc
Murderers....rapists and such like.

It's just the media that want us to think they are all playing playstations.
jacksprat where are you , i am in droylsden ?
