Don't know if any of you actually live in London, but I normally get the very early tube through Kings Cross, changing to go to Baker Street. On July 6th, I'd been out drinking with mates, and couldn't be bothered to get up early the next day for the gym...to cut a long story short - I was on the tube ahead of the bomb.
Lucky escape? Yeah - but what the bombers don't understand is that Londoners had the IRA bombings in the 70s. We will NEVER cow down and capitulate to terrorism...by the next day, we'll be on the same tubes, reading the same free newspapers, playing the same iPhone games and gazing blankly at nothing.
Bombs only serve to strengthen us, not cow us.
