At the time of the Moors Murders, the media reflected a national sense of revulsion that a woman could assist in the sexual abuse and murder of children - a crime many considered far worse than that commited by Ian Brady, who has been found to be clinically insane. The attitude to Myra Hindley is a strong now as it was then, hence her continued incarceration - no Home Secretary would contemplate career suicide for himself, or his Party, by sanctioning her release.

Yes, the coverage hasnt changed at all. The tricky thing is that her sentence has effectively been changed without a judicial hearing, which should be illegal. Because its her, noone cares. Im not saying you should let her out, but law should be the same for everyone. Justice is meant to be impartial.

The press are not going to portray anybody who was involved (to any degree) with the murder of children in a objective mannor. I do not think how she was/is protrayed is important. She didn't do anything to stop the brutal killing, is anything else important?.
