The families of prisoners who die in jail can receive up to £3,000 from the state to cover funeral expenses.

I wonder if the families of the victims of some of these prisoners can also receive money to pay for the funerals of their love-ones, if they have been killed by these criminals?

I believe there is still a funeral grant which anyone can claim.
Victims of criminals are entitled to a payment from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board, if they suffered any injury.
