So, plain John Taylor or Lord Taylor of Warwick, a title bestowed on him by a gullible nation, is one more politician to be charged with fiddling their expenses.
This high honour wasn't good enough for him however, he eligibly lied, to steal £11,000 by false accounting.
If, he is found guilty (and I don't suppose otherwise) , he should go to jail for a reasonable length of time.

The public must have seen through him when he failed to get elected for the Tories at Cheltenham So what do they do with failed politicians, give them a Lordship.
Now that Brown has lost all influence in the Commons maybe the Lords is the next best thing for him. Like Mandelson he would be able to exert power without the voters being consulted.

/// Tories Zac Goldsmith and Lord Taylor were in the news yesterday for fiddling their invoices and cheating us. How did I know which one AOG would post about? ///
Knowing your hang-ups, I suspect your dig at me refers to the fact that he happens to be black.
Firstly, it may have been yesterday news but we are not held down by dead lines on this site.
Now let me correct you, I posted this case not because he is black but because he is a peer of the realm not just the ordinary fiddling MP, but then we all know that you along with others do not like anything derogative to be posted about blacks.
Perhaps this is the reason you did not mention Lord Taylor's case when you answered LazyGun's question, or accused LazyGun of only posting Zac Goldsmith's misdemeanor.
Incidentally I should be careful, Zac Goldsmith and Lord Taylor were in the news yesterday because they only stand accused of "fiddling their invoices and cheating us".
