UK's triumphant athletics stars
With so many posts bemoaning British immigrants, shouldn't we shouting quite loudly (and proudly) at the achievements of these fine young athletes:

Whaddya say? Do these young stars make you feel proud to be British? I know there are those who race to their keyboards whenever there's a story about black 'savages'...doesn't the stories of these young men and women deserve equal exposure here?
Or would it make more sense to keep quiet in anticipation of the next stabbing/shooting story?

Jessicas Dad was originally from Jamaica, and Mo Farah of course was a very young emigrant from Somalia.
It does make a very pleasant change to see a positive, triumphalist story ,rather than the soul destroying drip drip Daily Fail negative stories about immigrants/minorities

I'll never understand why people discriminate against other people because of the colour of their skin. It's a complete mystery to me. Always has been and I suspect it always will be. A person's skin colour is as irrelevant to me as the colour of their eyes or their shoe size.
That aside, both me and my wife were cheering on Jessica Ennis – Wow! - What an outstanding performance. I've always been a massive fan of the multi-discipline events and her performance was a joy to watch – particularly the 800m.
And to return to sp1814's point – if successful black athletes can stop just one knuckle-dragging moron from disliking someone purely because of their genetically inherited melanin levels then that's a good thing in my opinion.
