No, too early to say.
that covers the three months to June. Labour were in power for most of this period, so it shows Labour's policies were working. If you want to know about Tory policies, you'll have to wait, as Sqad says.
NO ask again in 12 months time.
Those stats cover about a fortnight of Coalion (not Tory) rule. I would be very surprised if the Next three months unemployment figures do not go up.

Of more concern is the possibility of going back into recession. They were warned about the double dip, and some of the emerging data is not encouraging.
How will we know if the Tory/ Lib Dem Policies have worked or failed?

What is the target for success?
In the next 9 months job losses are going to be horrendous, already the economy is slowing in anticipation of the cuts, that will slaughter the economy.

So i'm with dennisb
depends who you are Sqad, I suppose. 'Unemployment down, GDP up', might rate as success if you're the IMF. 'More government work outsourced to private companies with Tory MPs on the board' might be how the government sees it.
Dave, you may be right, but can you answer my question above?
jno.....you haven´t mentioned the huge National debt.

Surely that has to have something to do with the objective for success?
Saad

Considering the Conservatives and the LibDems had vastly different policies going into the General Election, how will we know which policy they are pursuing?

The one policy target that will be the test will be that they have said they will pay off the deficit in 5 years. If they succeed then their policies have worked.

Labour's target was halve the deficit in 5 years. If the Conservatives do not halve the target, then they have miserably failed.
Gromit.......I agree.......thanks.
Squad - No, It shows that the Labour policy of quantitive easing was working. However given that Labour also stated that cuts were "inevitable", it doesn't mean that Labour would be working in a year.

Given that Labour warned that what the Tories were going to do would harm the economoc recovery is already coming true, you have to wonder at the competence of Tory economics.

Remember this is the party of Black, Friday & Wednesday.
Dave, Dave.

Just answer my question......what is the Tory/LIB Dem target for success?

Gromit has answered that.

So please wait a little longer before you *** ANY administration off.
