Has she been given thousands of pounds yet by some newspaper for her life story.
I just wonder how long it will be before she is invited to appear for an interview on tv as well

She'll be on Britain's Got Talent next....
Question Author
I can see an epidemic of cat binning breaking out now
I am looking out for my neighbourhood's cats as I type......
What I can't understand, is the fact that on FaceBook there have been threats to kill this woman, for her cruel deed against a cat.

Yet the likes of mass killer Raoul Moat, was treated as a hero.
AOG...LOL....it´s a funny old world, for sure.
I find that a tad bizarre also....
i owuld like to lock her in a room with my cat for a while but killing her sems a bit extreme
In yesterday's Times there was a repoert whereby some internet-ter had called for her Execution. I mean, come on ..............
Never underestimate the power of the British public to get extreme about things.

The levels of self-righteous anger that sweep the nation when things like this happen are quire qorrying - but fortunately it is just people making themselves feel better by trying to be more outraged than anyone else.

Perhaps they feel it defines them as a caring person - to be willing to execute someonf for a transgration they decide is too bad to allow life to continue.

The reality is - it's hot air and means nothing at all of any consequence.

Remind you of anyone?
Just think how much worse it would have been if she hadn't used the proper bin, clearly designated for recycling.
I'm amazed at the amount of column inches that has been devoted to this story, and even more amazed at the way people have completely freaked out about it.

Clearly the woman was a bloody idiot for doing it, but (and I know I'm going to get hammered here), it was only a cat and it didn't come to any harm - its not as if it was the Andrex puppy. Would there have been such an outpuring of vitriol had it been a rat?
Hear hear flip-flop, a voice of reason amongst all the hysteria.
I agree flip flop, there was less outrage at the bloke who was seen on cctv kicking his dog repeatedly.
Good point flip-flp.

People love to anthrapomorhisise their animals, which is why there is such an outcry when seal pups are clubbed to death - because they have fur, huge soulful eyes, and whiskers.

Truth is, they are pretty savange, and would bite your fingers off if you tried to pet one!

Would there be the same reaction if they looked like praying mantises?
I too do not understand the hysteria......but I also hate it when some say 'it was only a cat' It is a living creature that is capable of feeling hunger and and distress. The reason why so MANY are up in arms over this is because it is a domesticated pet,and so many of us DO have cats, and we know how upset we'd be had it been ours.
The woman should probably do well being given a bit of community service in a pet shelter.
Andy, in the 5 plus years ive known your posts, i've never known you post an idiotic post....

Until now.
raoul moat is a hero, mary bale is evil itself then...

Why was the bin being monitored by CCTV???

Boo - I feel I need to ask why you feel my post is idiotic?

It is a little off the thread to be fair - I do understand why people are upset by this incident - I fully appreciate their feelings - it's the self-righteous OTT postings on the Net that i can't be doing with - and that's why I take issue.

So please advise your issue with my post - I am intrigued.
