mmm he wants watching...I don't think it was accidental that his comment to harriet H was picked up. I think it was a bit of deliberate distancing and establishing him as an honest man even if you don't like his policies. At work i used to say "I do not care to associate myself with failure" when explaining why i wouldn't support this or that idea or plan...I can see he has the same thought.

On the radio this morning someone said "well we've had Jedward, Now we've got Dedward"...I reckon Dave is determined NOT to end up in the dead wood pile

So when the country tire of the coalition, which they eventually will, the coalition parties will be equally to blame in the eyes of the electorate. They will be looking for something different and not just another centre right party to replace the 2 centre right parties they want to vote out.

The LibDems lurch to the right means they will be appealing to conservative voters in future. The many people who mistakenly voted LibDem believing they were left of centre (hands up me) will abandon them for a repositioned Labour Party.

As the majority of our PMs went to Oxford and the tradition has continued with the Milliband brothers, Clegg and Cameron, some of them extremely wealthy I'm sure they are taught about the deserving poor. New Labour was a smokescreen to hide people like Blair who are closet capitalists at heart.
