i agree with you stoke, and i read on this site people complaining about people they know who get benefits, well if they are that concearned they can phone a number and report them, and i believe you dont need to give any details re your name, may stop so many people complaining.but dont tar us all with the same brush.

"the govt are axing housing benefit, incapacity benefit and income support...." - result!
Won't that put just a little strain of the coalition?
^^^ on the coalition
I've just had a quick look at tonight's London Evening Standard and I can't see anything about any of this. Where did you get this story from Stoke?
Wishful thinking?
mamyalynne you are very welcome to bed down in one corner of my shed but you would have to share with a wee mouse that lives in there.
Makes sense to me to centralise all benefits under one roof. As well as preventing fraud it should also help the claimant as just filling out one form to get all your benefits.

If this work can be carried out by half the staff think of the money saved by the taxpayer.
I can't find a link for this story anywhere... where did you see it, I'd like to read what was actually said before I comment?
This has been on the radio news 3 times tonight.
It's not on the BBC News website. Which radio station did you hear it on?
Question Author
daily mail website naomi
This was one of those Daily Mail " it may, perhaps, sometime in the future be discussed" stories.
Quite gingejbee, stoke appears to have missed a few vital words:-
'Searing tensions between Iain Duncan Smith and George Osborne took a new turn today with CLAIMS that the Welfare Secretary has 'won' his battle against the Treasury over reform.'
Essentially it's some tired old hack from the Mail deciding to stretch the truth (whoddathunk it?) and sexually excite it's readership with ideas of vulnerable people being harassed and disabled people being chucked on the street because their housing benefit ha been done away with.
Another quality story from the Daily Mail!
