/// AOG If you're worried about the Falklands they should be properly defended (if they're worth it) now - not retaken with aircraft carriers after the event.///
Obviously you know very little about military strategy, how can you properly defend the Falklands?
Are you suggesting that one moors a Aircraft carrier complete with aircraft and crew, off the coast of the Islands 24 hours, 7days, 52 weeks of the year, thousands of miles away from it's home port?
If we had battalions upon battalions of land troops stationed permanently on the Islands, we could not defend it from a country the size of Argentine with all the resources it possesses.
No the way to defend it is to have the necessary equipment and men available in the UK ready at a moments notice to head for the Falklands, on the information gathered from the security services.
That is the way that brilliant PM Mrs Thatcher carried out the task and won.
