"I'm innocent and I can prove it because I'm a liar."
Pretty glad I am not a mid-beds constituent, tbh. How do people like this get to be MP in the first place, and more importantly, get re-elected?

I think she should be kicked off facebook, have her myspace account cancelled and banned from using twitter as a punishment - it would probably make her a better person and a better MP
Ms Dorries is but one of many MPs still in situ embroiled in the still relevant, but conveniently ignored by most "Honourable Members", expenses scandal. Why ANY of them tarnished by its brush was re-elected can only be a sad reflection on the total apathy of most UK voters.
I, for example, am still awaiting the fate of my local MP, Lib Dem David Laws, erstwhile Chief Secretary to the Treasury, to be decided after he was found with sticky fingers acquiring many thousands of pounds of tax payers' money and allegedly channeling it to his boyfriend. I'm deeply skeptical that such enquiries simply drag on for months in the hope that everyone will have forgotten about it before the miscreant is quietly re-instated to carry on as before.
Ms Dorries appears to object to being investigated because she has been extremely vociferous on the matter for a long time. Could it be a question of: "The lady doth protest too much" ?
