Careful, RIG, I farm ! The EU benefits farmers here, too.
Why do you think German and French farmers have a benevolent union in the EU ?
The rules are the same for all of us, British , French and German. The amounts we receive, and for what, have changed over the years and we now get far less, in consequence. The plan has been to reduce subsidies, which it has.
No Geezer, it should be renamed "The Association for distressed and displaced domestic politicians."
It is well known that many vacancies exist for politicians and their helpers on the EU gravy train when they eventually fall foul of the ballot box (as they all eventually do). Qualifications and a proven track record are not required - you just have to be enthralled with the "European Project" (or at least sound as if you are).
