It always ends the same Right v Left.
I can understand the different sides Left and Right, each have their own particular agenda, nothing wrong with that.
What I do not understand is the fact that in this particular case, the country has a problem with radical Islam, this cannot be denied, we have seen mass killings due to Muslim suicide bombers, and outright provocation ie. the disgusting acts that took place during the Armistice remembrance period and the slurs during the troops homecomings.
Now because a group of concerned people get together to counter protest against these actions, they are labelled 'the baddies' 'the far right' 'Nazis' 'fascists', yet 'the far left' and the extremists are almost the 'good guys'
While I do not support thuggish behaviour in any way, one must show an understanding for the way these anti Islam protesters act at times, at least they have never killed anyone or caused the mayhem that was caused by the students 'far left' protest a few days ago.
Short of any other alternative, how else can the people protest about a situation that the politicians have knowingly created?

It appears to me as if the "thuggery" was coming from both sides including one which was deliberately and vociferously demonstrating against the wearing of the poppy in commemoration of the millions who have perished in world wars and other conflicts.
Given the fact, also, this this group called the EDL has only been in existence for a few years would suggest that the so called radicalisation of Muslims, which has been going on long before the EDL was founded, is a total red herring.
Each faction would find it very convenient indeed to blame the other for their own need to exist. One's as bad as the other.

Miracles never cease, AOG supporting someone for attacking one of our brave boys in blue, and not for the first time either.
If memory serves one of the other founders has conviction for assaulting a police officer.
Extremists breed extremists, the E.D.L offer no answer to Muslim extremism, they only exacerbate it.
In Portsmouth they drove down to demonstrate at a mosque over the burning of poppies, two problems though, one. they weren't involved in poppy burning and two, if they'd knocked and asked they said they'd have joined them in a demostration against burning poppies.

Not for the first time you have told lies, regarding myself supporting attacks on our police.
I have already said I do not support thuggish behaviour.
Yet I periodically read on this site of the Lefties slagging off the police.
You say that "the E.D.L offer no answer to Muslim extremism",
Alright then if they can't be protested against on the streets, like any other public concerns that the establishment doesn't seem to be bothered about, then please tell me what action would you take?

If my memory is correct, then one of the founders of the E.D.L has been CONVICTED of assaulting a police officer, condemn him and say he should resign.
If you read what I said you'll observe that the Mosque in Portsmouth wasn't even asked what it's followers thought of poppy burning.
The solution, right minded people join together to marginilise the extremists.

@ Davethedog. I understand what you are saying but can,t agree,
Your post>"Just read the article but as you don't seem to understand the difference Now is today and the is the past"..... If that is the case why didn't the headlines read.... "After the burning of the poppy and the disrespectful display of MAC on remembrance day, why are the Islamic extremists fuelling the EDL". Maybe that's not politically correct, hey?
Taking in to consideration that the EDL on FB have grown by the hundreds every day since this disgraceful act, the people seem to have a different view.
Why were the BBC the only news source not to cover the poppy burning?
I've got a good idea but would like to know what you think!
You also think that the EDL are racist .... I'll be the first to put my hands up and say *yes*, some of the comments from some members are wrong, .... every "out spoken group" will attract the extremists but the core of the EDL isn't racist at all, far from it.
The FB page in question is rigorously monitored and comments like the ones mentioned on the radio today are removed. Not so on the other side of the coin. Anyone want to ask why?
@ jackthehat......I find it offensive that you are trying to to put a point across with >if it is, they will probably be unable to read quite what it is saying............ The fact that you are judging all EDL followers without knowing them, and branding them illiterate shows that you, yourself are prejudiced. Find out more about what you are commenting on, before you post!

Dear jackthehat (There's no again, or I would have replied.) Well done!!!! Your intellect is astounding. After refering to people, and I quote " if it is, they will probably be unable to read quite what it is saying.".... You come back with "Sod off" as a reply.... What an absolute, brilliant response from someone that portrays themself as so superior to so many.... Bravo!!!..... That means Well done!
Sometimes I get lost.... but not as much as now!...@jackthehat>Oh, I meant in general, in whichever username you like...........
I have one user name that i created tonight to answer comments on here that I thought were slightly one sided..... I thought that was the whole point of sites like this?....... i will reply so your intellect can take it in...... This site is wicked, man.... peeps stepping out of their depth and getting bitched down, u gotta take a look its cool..... Go and re-take your GCSEs then come back to me with something worthy to say.... "Sod off" doesn't even come close and its insulting to anyone that is trying to talk to people on the same level!
