I had to think twice before I posted this disgustingly shocking news report.
Why is it once again, that groups of either Asians or blacks are involved in such cases as this one?
When I first head this on the news, they did not at first give out the ethnicity of the group, and underneath I was hoping that they might be white men, so that I could post the story, without the condemnations that are generally levelled at me for daring to highlight such disgusting actions.
But alas that could not be, the only diversion from the norm that I can give, is the fact that one of the perpetrators was white.

The fact remains however, that economic circumstances have a much wider impact on communities whether its the inability to afford prostitues resulting in rape or carrying a knife or gun to assist in mugging someone which ultimately results in stabbing or death.
Not to mention the gang cultures which for various reasons are more common in poorer areas resulting in turf wars which are fought in various ways, including rape and murder.....

Bernie, 'if' he isn't, then wouldn't it be a good idea for him to word his questions in such a way that he didn't appear to be?
He certainly seems literate enough to fathom that out, don't you agree?

I used to work in an area where you would never be mugged in the street if you were black, but most definitely were in danger if you were white. Fact.
By the same token, the BNP/EDL etc are far more likely to villify you unless you are white.
Both instances just sad examples of naked racism. But, hey, sh*t happens!

I don't know if you realise it but you have come very close to the solution.
But first we have got to be prepared to discuss it without the taunts, insults and accusations of racism.
This post is a prime example, very little feed back about the horrible crime committed, hardly any condemnation of the perpetrators involved, the reason? because they happen to belong to a certain section of British society.
If we could be adult enough to discuss why certain groups carry out certain crimes, is it an inbred matter, is it cultural thing, or is it down to the fact various nationalities are different not only in skin tone but for other Anthropological reasons?
Yes some of these results could prove to be sensitive, but unless we can openly discuss them we will never be able to find the causes, and then perhaps the solutions.
Why it was only recently that the subject of immigration was deemed not to racist to be discussed, although there are still some out there that still don't care for the subject to be openly discussed.

/// AOG you set that tone.you made this more about race than the crime.///
In a way I would say yes, but if I had just asked for comments on this horrible crime, carried out on young female children, how long do you think it would have been before some would have noticed that it was carried out by a gang of Asians and one white man, and then somehow twisted it all out of proportion to make it a race issue against me?
But since this type of crime against young children has in the past also been carried out by gangs of Asians and gangs of Blacks I thought it was worth discussing to see if anything positive could come out of it, 'THE REASONS' 'WHY' etc.
But no I should have known better, hence my initial fears.

AOG - i dont disagree that the crimes committed are heinous to say the least. I dont think anyone would deem these acceptable and the fact that we can, sometimes, understand that there are certain entenuating circumstances which may have influenced people do do what they do does not make it ok in any way.
The fact of the matter remains, however, that this thread has become about race as opposed to the heinousness of the crime because, as others have pointed out, of the way the question was posed.
If we (and by we I don't simply mean the people on this site but wider society as well) put race aside and spent time, as you said in your last post, looking for the solution and trying to understand the reasons behind the crimes, maybe we could at least reduce the number of these threads created in the first place because maybe there would be less occasions such as this to post in the first place...

Who do you think you are sp, some 30's cop in down-town Chicago?
If I knew then I wouldn't be asking, I once posted you a report by a eminent anthropologist, on the subject.
But because this opened very sensitive issues you dismissed it as being written by a racist.
