Paedophile Colin Blanchard refused to leave the cells to be sentenced.......
.......because he did not want to share the dock with one of his co-accused
Why was he allowed to do this? He was in a court of law and was found guilty of a heinous crime so why wasn't he made to appear for sentencing?

"don't be a prick" - ahh the tell tall sign of limited interlect being exhausted!
OK let's frame a law like this: "you must appear in court for sentencing if the public think what you did is really out of order", that appears to be what you are saying,

The judicial system doesn't care whether the convicted person is there or not. The sentence is handed down anyway, they simply lose the opportunity to say anything.
Frankly, the judicial system doesn't really care whether the 'victims' are there either. By definition, the case is a matter of Regina vs whoever - they have been prosecuted because they broke the Queen's law, not because they offended against any 'victims'.

All you have to do is acknowledge that a valid point is made and that your previous hysterics were based on feelings we all have for this individual case. When examined objectivlely the reason as explained above is quiet clear and obvious. Of course you are clearly one of those people who cannot ever be wrong so by definition you rage at others who dare to point out the vacuity of your ramblings.

den53, have you read the whole exchange?
I'm not looking for an argument, my one sentence answer at the start of this thread settled all arguments. I am merely dealing with the hysterical witterings of someone who wants to override common sense, presumably in the sort of cases that illicit this kind of response.
You are just saying what you think should happen without any back up of logic or method, it's like saying "no one should ever die in a road accident" - without offering a method to achieve that aim.
Yes McMouse, I suppose I shouldn't but I just hope that the penny will drop I suppose.

What a pile of needless toss going on here and I agree about the patronising comment made by R1geezer - an apology would be apropos
Blanchard will get his come-uppance in the HMP selected for him as, no doubt, he will become a bum-bag for those seeking gratification in there.
As long as they don't provide free KY jelly in there.....
