The French wants British and German armed forces to join them, would this be an all too bad a thing?

From the forces perspective I think it would be a good thing, taking into account that they would most likely enjoy better conditions, than those they presently endure, and they would also have better equipment than what they have now.

The only concerns I have is the fact that the French and the Germans have tended not to take their fair share in the Afghanistan conflict, and I cannot see the US taking the idea on-board..

Is it really that big a deal now that France is a member of NATO.

It might be an improvement on current arrangements where the number of casualties from blue-on-blue has resulted in scores of deaths of British servicemen.

The one thing the US Army has going for it is they take no prisoners. Only today it was reported that they razor-bombed an Afghan village as it was suspected there were land mines hidden. Our human rights would allow no such thing!
